About Phillip Brashear

Phillip is the third son of the legendary Navy Sailor, Boatswain Mate Master Chief and Master Diver Carl Maxie Brashear, whose life was depicted in the Hollywood motion picture, Men of Honor.
Through his father’s legacy, Phillip has had the opportunity to be immediately included in dozens of Navy traditions and events that have shaped his life immeasurably.

 Phillip’s own military experiences that have taken him to distant corners of the world and challenges he has also faced, his story is similar as an updated version of what his father faced in becoming a worldwide figure. Success in the government environment and the military society can be challenging and he speaks of these things as life-lessons to his audience.

Phillip has delivered a variety of speaking engagements with audiences ranging from school-aged children to the US Congress. He has spoken to colleges, churches, and civic groups that have enjoyed the raw and direct message that he delivers.
